Middle school English teacher Jiang Lu meets Song Kui, a criminal police captain, through an introduction by an elder. Longing for an ordinary and peaceful life, Jiang Lu begins to have second thoughts because of Song Kui’s dangerous, demanding career and the vast difference in their family backgrounds.
